At the beginning of 2023, Aranyani, India's first international luxury handbag brand, opened its flagship store in London's Mayfair. Realised according to a design concept by Kinnersley Kent Design, umdasch The Store Makers was responsible for shopfitting and general contracting. The store is characterised by sustainability, craftsmanship and timelessness - the core values of the brand, whose name means "goddess of the forest".

The design reflects the store's closeness to nature: upon entering, customers experience a kind of forest landscape, with green tiles on the façade and tiered shelves that present bags as if on tree branches. The "clearing" in the store centre, with sculptural rings and light-flooded surfaces made of British stone and Irish marble, symbolises the energy and vitality of the goddess. Changing lighting moods and fine materials such as leather, oak, brass and bronze create an exclusive shopping experience.

Sustainability also runs through the choice of materials: Natural, locally sourced raw materials such as clay, minerals and stone come from ethically responsible sources in the UK. Existing elements were retained and reused, such as the sanded oak parquet flooring. The realisation of the complex project required a great deal of coordination, particularly in the precise production of the organic shapes and the harmonious integration of the clay cladding on the ground floor.
