On 7 July 2022, Moët & Chandon opened its largest stand-alone champagne bar in Europe in the Beauty Halls of Harrods, London. The highlight is a 21 x 5 metre handmade chandelier made of almost 60,000 gold metal discs and 240,000 brass rings - a tribute to legendary designers such as Paco Rabanne and Pierre Cardin. The elaborate design was realised by umdasch The Store Makers as part of the 10-year renovation phase at Harrods.

The curved bar with 34 seats is made of fibreglass and its shape is a reference to the Champagne region of Epernay. Fine materials such as brushed brass and chalkstone textures characterise the look. The culinary experience is complemented by the Harrods chefs with matching dishes. A special eye-catcher are eight embedded "Moët kisses" as double-layered ice coolers.

"Realising the organic shape of the chandelier and the bar with the high-quality materials was a major challenge. The bar was produced in twelve parts and assembled seamlessly on site so that it looks as if it was cast from a single mould."

The champagne bar combines modern luxury with traditional elegance. Surrounded by library-like display cases and gold-coloured seating, it creates an immersive atmosphere that impressively brings the Moët & Chandon philosophy to life.

"The bar is a dramatic, contemporary space that perfectly captures the tradition and anticipation of celebration through form and materiality."
