umdasch The Store Makers was once again awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Seal for its sustainability performance in 2025. Compared to the previous year, the company was able to improve both its score and its relative performance compared to other companies. This recognition underlines Store Makers' commitment to social responsibility, environmental protection and ethical business behaviour.

EcoVadis, the largest global provider for the evaluation of sustainable corporate management, has awarded umdasch a total of 66 points following an in-depth review - this not only means the bronze seal for the Store Makers, but also an improvement compared to the previous year's assessment. The award is now based on a relative ranking among all the companies assessed - and no longer exclusively on the basis of fixed point thresholds. In addition, minimum values must be achieved in all four assessment categories: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

Particularly pleasing: umdasch was able to improve in several areas - particularly in the categories of environment and ethics. Progress was also made in the area of sustainable procurement. This emphasises the company's holistic approach to responsible corporate management and sustainable action along the entire value chain.

"The renewed award of the EcoVadis Bronze seal is a strong signal for us: our continuous efforts in terms of sustainability are having an effect - and we are developing in the right direction," says Silvio W. Kirchmair, CEO of umdasch The Store Makers. "The fact that we have been able to gain further ground in international comparison is an additional motivation for us. What motivates us even more than the award is our ambition to make progress towards a circular economy. We don't do this for prizes, but because we feel it's the right thing to do and worthwhile."

Continuation of the commitment to the UN Global Compact

As part of its ongoing sustainability strategy, umdasch The Store Makers remains committed to the principles of the UN Global Compact - the world's largest voluntary initiative for responsible corporate governance. For some time now, the company has actively supported the ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

"Transparency, ethics and sustainable action are core values for us," emphasises Kirchmair. "With our continued commitment to the UN Global Compact, we are reaffirming our clear commitment to internationally recognised standards - and to our ongoing responsibility towards society and the environment - regardless of whether the issues are currently a high or low priority for the population."

With the renewed award from EcoVadis and its commitment to the Global Compact, umdasch The Store Makers is sending a strong signal in favour of sustainable business - both locally and globally.
