Double honour: The Smart Bakery Box from umdasch The Store Makers wins the German Brand Award in two categories
Double reason to celebrate for the Store Makers! At the German Brand Awards ceremony on 13 June 2024 in Berlin, the Smart Bakery Box, the "intelligent" baking furniture from umdasch, won awards in two categories.
The German Brand Award is THE award for successful brand management in Germany. It discovers, presents and honours unique brands and brand makers. The umdasch shopfitting experts can now adorn their smart baking furniture with two winners' plaques of the coveted award: "Winner" in the category "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation: Brand Innovation of the Year" and "Gold" in the category "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation: Brand Innovation & New Business Models".
Product Manager Nina Christandl and Head of Sales Lukas Steyer attended the awards ceremony at the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin and were delighted to accept both awards. "The development of the Smart Bakery Box began several years ago. This innovation in bakery furniture enables real-time weight-based inventory management, reduces food waste and ensures product freshness. We are very proud of this great recognition, which more than confirms the work of our product development team," says a delighted Nina Christandl.
The Smart Bakery Box has integrated smart weighing functionality and thus determines the current stock level in real time. This helps to avoid out-of-shelf situations and ensure the freshness and quality of the baked goods at all times. The data obtained helps to optimise upstream and downstream processes and reduce the workload on store staff. In addition, the continuous monitoring of required quantities reduces potential food waste.
