umdasch presents itself holistically connected at EuroShop 2020

umdasch The Store Makers will be presenting new perspectives for the retail of the future on a stage of over 900 square metres at this year’s EuroShop in Dusseldorf from 16 to 20 February  (Hall 12, Stand C55). Integrity and connection are not only embodied by the architecture of the sensational trade fair stand. The latest innovations for all branches of the retail industry and much more are also on the agenda!

Exhibition stand as a stage

Ground-breaking for the stationary retail and the worlds of experience of the future, umdasch's Store Makers show countless possibilities of how retailers can successfully present themselves in the future at EuroShop 2020. It’s no secret that staging is not only a matter of choice, but has become an obligation. But umdasch thinks one step ahead and puts it in the center of their exhibition stand: architecturally accentuated and cosmopolitan, holistically unified and yet structured. The stand design was created by the Swiss architects DOBAS.

Even from the outside, visitors get a first glimpse of the stand through semi-transparent wooden slats. Its radial floor plan stands for the comprehensive solution provider umdasch and leads the guests to the exhibition area via a generously designed entrance area. In a circular tour, the visitors discover the success components of future retail. Finally, a roof consisting of around ten kilometres of tensioned ropes embodies the networking of the Store Makers' product range, which leads to successful solutions at the point of sale. The network closes as a symbol of the cycle and represents a place of return: for customers who become part of a brand - and thus make the stationary stores what they should be: successful stores.

Innovation and staging: The umdasch world of experience

Different target groups require a personal and individual approach. In the umdasch world of experience, the company shows how to create a special brand experience in this area of contradiction. Exciting possibilities and inspirations in the areas of food, lifestyle and premium retail are arranged around the centre of the stand, an urban designed bar. During their tour of the stand, visitors experience a wide variety of innovative solutions and exciting impulses on how retail spaces can be made fit for the future. Also on the stage are new developments for more sustainability at the point of sale, such as the "Liquid Dispenser" refilling station. The "Urban Lifestyle" theme world will inspire visitors with integrated digital technology, including Lift & Learn sensor technology and out-of-shelf management. Flexible pop-up solutions such as the new Fold-up system and the mobile Retail Cart show how the point-of-sale reaches the customer.

Experience stands for "experiencing", which is by no means overlooked at this year's umdasch EuroShop presentation. Whether through virtual reality store tours or interaction at the Lifestyle Experience Wall, through the touch & feel of luxurious materials or exciting insights into shipping boxes. Experience and inspiration for all senses is guaranteed.

Well connected: The partners

The Store Makers see circles where others think of corners; These include inspiring collaborations with established companies as well as exciting start-ups. Some of them are also present in Dusseldorf.

At the feet of the numerous visitors to the umdasch booth are carpets from the Austrian family company Pematex.  Pematex has been creating individual flooring solutions for the shop area since 1919.

Must furniture always be made of wood, metal and plastic? Designer Stefan Umdasch, son of the umdasch co-owner Alfred Umdasch, presents with his business partners new ways in furniture construction with 3D Betondruck Solutions.  The reception counter of the umdasch exhibition stand and the futuristic bar impress with the material combination of wood, glass and metal. Thereby 3D Betondruck Solutions proves how concrete objects can be staged in free form language with the innovative concrete printing process.

More than 30 touch, curved and stretch displays of the cooperation partner LG Electronics show different approaches and ideas how digital signage can be used excitingly. Behind this, among others, the award-winning content management system from Grassfish will be used. Additional exciting solutions were developed together with companies such as Wirecube, voestalpine and Lighting Design International and can be seen for the first time at the trade fair.

Refreshed and recovered: Bar & Restaurant

Although the stand presents the use of the latest technological possibilities for the retail trade, umdasch shows how such “stages” can enter into a symbiosis with nature: The Austrian company Florawall is greening the walls of the umdasch restaurant and thus conquering vertical surfaces with moss staging. This creates a digital detox zone on the exhibition stand where personal conversation has priority and culinary delights are not to be missed out.
